We recommend keeping the line description field short to aid in quickly identifying lines, this field should show the “ultimate” destinations of a line.
For straight lines, this is usually “Origin to Destination”:
For “U-shaped” lines, we recommend “Origin - Middle Location - Destination”: 
For circular lines, we recommend using “Origin - Destination 1 - Destination 2 - Origin”, the number of “ultimate” destinations used in the description will vary based on how long the line is - however, we’d still recommend attempting to keep the list short.
We recommend populating the line detail field with lesser vias (not all stops), and qualifiers such as if the service is a school service only.
