On some Operator Websites, we require explicit user consent to enable tracking cookies (such as Google Analytics).

You are able to load Google Tag Manager tags to load when the user consents to tracking cookies. Here's how to set it up:

Create the Trigger

Add a new trigger for a custom event named ‘Cookies Allowed’.

Use these settings:

  • Event name: cookies_allowed

  • This trigger fires on: Some Custom Events

  • Fire this trigger when: Event equals cookies_allowed

This event occurs on the website when:

  • The user presses ‘Accept’ on the cookie notification banner

  • On page loads when the user has previously pressed ‘Accept’

Edit your Tags

You can now associate that Custom Event with a tag, like so:

This Tag will take effect once the Cookies Allowed event occurs.
